May 3rd (Mon) - 4th (Tue) Moroccan and Arab goods fair



Moroccan and Arab goods fair will be held in Hiroshima during the Golden Week holidays, on the 3rd and 4th of May. The fair will be managed by "souk nomad" which was set up by people who was living in Morocco.

April 15 (Thu) Hot Coal Walking on Miyajima Island




Hot Coal Walking on Miyajima Island (at Daishoin temple)
Dates/Times:
15 April 11:00 Hrs

Join the crowd of people and take part in the "walking over fire ceremony" at Daiganiji Temple (Nov 5) and Daishoin Temple (Nov 15)on the island of Miyajima.

Walk across hot coals "to pray for protection from illness and disaster."
You can join the other participants who go through physical pain in hopes of future comfort.

Some claim that if you have
"a pure heart" or good reasons to will yourself across the coals....
it doesn't hurt at all.
